STANDING WITH WORKERS

Fighting for Union Rights

Many workers want to organize but lack access to legal guidance and protection. My Union Support Hotline Act establishes a free, confidential hotline where workers

can access legal advice, union law education, and strategic support to organize safely in accordance with state and federal laws. This ensures that every worker — from service employees to tech engineers — has the tools to combat exploitation. Please read the draft bill I authored below.

Union Support Hotline Act

• Establishes a national 24/7 resource center for workers.

• Provides immediate access to legal guidance and strategic organizing support.

Legal Aid & Union Law Education

• Free legal assistance for workers facing anti-union tactics.

• Comprehensive education programs on union rights and labor law.

Union Support Hotline Act - By Sean Hutchinson NV D3

Purpose:

To establish a federally funded, confidential hotline that provides free legal advice, strategic guidance, and resources to employees seeking to form or join a

union.

1. Establishment of the Hotline:

The bill mandates the creation of a nationwide toll-free hotline administered by a designated federal agency, such as the Department of Labor or the National Labor Relations Board.

2. Confidential Services:

All interactions through the hotline will be strictly confidential. Callers can seek advice and support without fear that their identity will be disclosed.

3. Services Provided:

The hotline will offer free and confidential legal advice on union formation, workers’ rights, and collective bargaining. It will also provide strategic guidance on organizing efforts and connect callers with local

resources and advocacy groups.

4. Eligibility and Access:

All employees in the United States, regardless of industry or sector, will have access to the hotline. The service will be available in multiple languages to ensure accessibility.

5. Promotion and Awareness:

The bill includes provisions for a public awareness campaign to inform workers about the availability of the hotline and how to use it.

6. Funding and Oversight:

The act will allocate federal funding for the establishment and operation of the hotline, and it will establish an oversight committee to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the service.
