I am a gun owner and fully support
your right to defend yourself. I urge my fellow Democrats, liberals, and progressives to switch their position and embrace the Second Amendment. I encourage you to purchase a powerful handgun or rifle for self-defense and learn to use it properly and responsibly. Our founding
fathers wanted you to have the ability to protect yourselves and your loved ones. We Democrats
lost the gun battle years ago. We need to wake up and understand that American society wants guns no matter what, and that’s not going to change. Let’s steal this issue away from the MAGA Republicans and use it to our advantage. Instead of losing on the gun issues, let’s start winning with it.

• Promoting firearms safety training programs for all gun owners
